Privacy Policy
DocViewer Pro collects no personal information. We run no server for the app, there is no interactivewebs account to create, and nothing the app holds is sent to us. The app talks to one place only — the document service your own organisation uses — and everything else stays on your device. This policy sets out all of it, including the one place on this website where you can choose to send us something.
What the app does
You sign in with the credentials your organisation issued you for its document library. The app fetches the list of documents you are entitled to, downloads them, and keeps them on the device so they open with no signal. You can highlight, bookmark, type notes and draw on pages with Apple Pencil, and those marks are re-located for you when a document is re-issued.
Your sign-in
- Your username and password are sent over an encrypted connection to your organisation's document service and to nowhere else. They are never sent to interactivewebs, and we never see them.
- If Stay signed in is on (Settings), your password is stored in the device Keychain so the app can sign in again by itself when the service's session expires. It is marked device-only: it is not synchronised to iCloud, is not readable by other apps, and is deleted when you sign out.
- Turning Stay signed in off, or signing out, removes the stored password immediately.
What is stored on your device
- Documents you have downloaded, in the app's own private storage.
- Your annotations — ink strokes, highlights, bookmarks and typed notes — also in the app's own private storage.
- A record of document revisions so the app can show you what has changed since last time.
- Your settings, such as whether to stay signed in.
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is stored in the app's container, which means it is included in a backup of your device if you back your device up, and it is removed when you delete the app.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code of any kind. The app collects no advertising or device identifiers and does not track you across apps or websites.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar or health access is requested or used.
- No account with interactivewebs, and no server of ours between you and your documents.
- Your annotations are not uploaded anywhere. They are yours, on your device.
Your organisation's document service
The service you sign in to is operated by your organisation or by the provider it has chosen, not by us. What that service records about your sign-ins and downloads is governed by their policies and your organisation's, not by this one. Your organisation's rules about how its documents may be held, annotated and used continue to apply to anything you download.
This website's support form
The support form on this site is the only place we can receive anything from you, and only if you choose to use it. What you type into it — your message, and the name and email address you optionally supply — is sent to our app support team by email and used only to answer you. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not passed to anyone else. Please do not send us your sign-in details or the contents of a controlled document. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and operations; these are rotated and deleted routinely.
Data retention and deletion
Because we hold nothing, there is no stored data about your use of the app for us to delete. Signing out removes the stored password; deleting the app removes the downloaded documents, your annotations and your settings along with it. If you have written to us through the support form and want that correspondence deleted, ask through the same form and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
DocViewer Pro is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
